About the Snard Brothers from Bobby Snard:
"The Snard Brothers came to be in 1979 in Virginia Beach. I had been performing a single act at Ocean Eddie's on the Pier. After meeting a young and dynamic Bass Player(Scott King) a duo was formed. The original Snards was a duo and remained as such for about 3 years. Then another guitarist was added and remained a trio for a few years and eventually I added drums and the Snard Brothers Band has remained at least a four piece act. Now for the Cajun Crawfish Festival there will be six musicians on stage. Three of the members have been Snards for a long time. The other three are being Snardized for the first time; however, we know each and are familiar with one another's work.
I have been blessed over the years to have had the oppertunity to work with the best musicians and entertainers that Tidewater has had to offer! The reputation of the Snards as always being entertaining was built on the caliber of musician on the stage with me. People hired me, and they trusted that I would provide them with a jam up show. To my knowledge I have never let down anyone that has hired the Snard Brothers Band.
The music or tunes for this show is a good mixture of peoples favorites over the years and danceable."
