Concerts, food trucks, and plenty more are in store when the Virginia Arts Festival opens its 20th season with a free outdoor party in downtown Norfolk. The festivities get underway at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 8, on the MacArthur Center Lawn, at the corner of Freemason St. and Monticello Ave. The event is co-presented with Downtown Norfolk Council and MacArthur Center.

The Virginia Arts Festival Opening Night Party includes performances by Semi-Toned, Exeter University’s award-winning, all-male a cappella group. Semi-Toned is famed for their dry humor, tight harmonies and even tighter trousers. The Fuzz Band, an R&B, funk band from Hampton, will wrap up the night’s celebrations.
