When & Where is the Beach Party?
The Beach Party starts right after the finish of the Walk to Defeat ALS®. It will be on the Beach at Neptune’s Park in front of the Hilton Virginia Beach. Reminder that you must have a ticket to come to the Beach Party.

The ground breaking & unveiling of the ‘Anticipation’ statue will take place at 1st Street as the midway point of the Walk to Defeat ALS®.

The 2009 JT Walk & Beach Party Goals:

1. Josh Thompson’s fight for a cure continues (along with all others affected by ALS) and with President Obama signing the "STEM CELL Research Legislation", now more than ever, research funds are needed.

2. Over 60 families in Hampton Roads fight daily for dignity and quality of life and they need our help! We can help them by donating to our local ALS Chapter.

3. Construct "Grommet Island Beach Park & Playground for every-BODY". As a result of Josh's illness, his friends and family realized that he would never be able to enjoy a day at the beach or play at the park with his two sons. Grommet Island has a unique design that will be enjoyed by those who are able-bodied and those who live with disabilities
