About The Retailers
Based out of Virginia Beach, VA, “The Retailers” were founded in the winter of 2008 by friends Rob Oliver (Lead Guitar) and Jon Capparelli (Drummer), aka Slippy, for their love and passion of music. Only seeking the best, the duo added in Rich Oliver (Bass), brother to Rob Oliver, to create one of the most consistent rhythm sections in the Hampton Roads area. By mid February of 2008, Beamon Battie was added as the fourth member and lead vocalist of “The Retailers”. Prior to coming together, they individually have performed for several successful bands such as: Two Foot Small, Trampus Hogge, Softstone, Your Biggest Fan, The Epitome, PaperCadence, Leverage, Uglyography and Quest, for over 10 years in the local area. The members of “The Retailers” have played in such places as The Norva, Jewish Mother, The Half Shell and H20, opening for such acts as The Psychedelic Furs, The Connell’s and The Fabulous Thunderbirds. With Rob’s flawless shredding, Rich’s steady groove, Slippy’s unyielding beat and Beamon’s strong vocal presence, The Retailers are sure to take you on a voyage through time and music, all the while keeping the audience entertained and engaged throughout their entire performance.
