Art for Change” Event

Ocean Lakes High School student Joshua Mann, recent winner of the “Future Sole” Nike shoe design contest, and the Ocean Lakes Art Department will host a silent auction of student artwork at the Contemporary Art Center of Virginia on May 24th from 6-8pm. Mann, who received personal prizes for his award also earned a $5,000 stipend for the Ocean Lakes Art Department. Mann has inspired his fellow students to create artwork to be sold to benefit children around the world. All proceeds from donations and art sales will be donated to the Girl Effect (http://www.girleffect.org), a non-profit Mann learned about through the Nike corporation.
