Celebrating 60 years!

It’s a great year for MOCA’s Boardwalk Art Show presented by PNC Bank – We’re celebrating our 60th year on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront!

The Boardwalk Art Show is produced by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), a museum and arts organization that evolved from the art show itself. The show is nationally recognized from small beginnings in 1952 that to date attracts over 700 applications every year from artists around the country representing 13 fine art and contemporary craft mediums.  More than 250 artists and 250,000 tourists and locals attend the show that spans nearly 15 blocks along the Atlantic Ocean at the Virginia Beach oceanfront from 19th Street to 33rd Street. This beautiful atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for public displays of art, fine food, live entertainment and a great vacation.

Proceeds from this event directly support the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and help fulfill our mission to provide thought-provoking art exhibitions and children’s art education programs. In the last decade, MOCA has provided exposure to the arts to over 100,000 children in Hampton Roads.

This year join us on the boardwalk to meet amazingly talented artists and see their work up close. While here, join in the fun at Family Fest on Saturday afternoon at 24th Street Park or at the Back Bay Brewing Beer Garden for craft beer or wine and live entertainment throughout the weekend. If you’re looking for a special treat, purchase tickets to the Boardwalk Beach Club for a catered lunch by Steinhilbers, valet parking, private bathrooms and open bar courtesy of Excelsior Wines, Back Bay Brewing Co. and Tito’s vodka.
