Know where to go!

A message to all members of
First off, we'd like to say congratulations to Chris Tallaksen, the winner of the Fastest Bartender Contest. And thanks to everyone who came out to compete or support! We love you. No really, we do.

Dinner Tonight?? Fresh Alaskan Halibut, Local Flounder and Fresh Lynnhaven Oysters Tonight at The New Moon Cafe on Holly Road. Call 437-8230 for reservations. Later, come out to Lunasea ... yeah I know it's not summer, but we can pretend! Vedette will be there. They're a neo-soul/rock/funk band with a hot chick lead singer. And most importantly, I think there may be some VBnightlife crew out there, including one who's celebrating a birthday. If you figure out who it is, be sure to buy him a shot.

If you don't feel like kickin it with us, you're lame. BUT, here's a list of other shows going on tonight:

Feel like getting your southern rock on? Blue Lords is playing at South Beach Grill on Friday AND Saturday. If you yell "Freebird," we're not friends anymore.

If you're more into dancing, the NorVa is the spot this weekend. With Of Montreal on Friday and Owl City on Saturday, there's gonna be a whole lot of booty-shakin' going on.

But if you wanna stay local, head to 15th Street Raw Bar and Grill to see Dahna Rowe. And mention VBnightlife to get happy hour prices all night long!

Saturday, while the sun's still out, why don't you go get some culture? You know, to make up for the way you acted on Friday night. Head to the Virginia Beach Convention Center for Art Awards 2010, a fine arts and crafts show. It's going on Sunday, too. There is also an Art Opening at the new Art Space Pembroke Mall which is FREE and features four distinctly different galleries and live music by Bryan Forrest at 2pm Sunday

And after that, go take a nap and get ready for Rockstar Parking at New Moon Cafe! This is one of the area's premiere cover bands. You'll hear everything from Sublime to Talking Heads to Pink Floyd. The previously stated "Freebird" rule still applies.

An important member of our local music scene, Joe Maniscalco needs a little help from his friends. Joe was sidelined for the past three months by health issues. He is now able to work but is still dealing with crazy medical bills. Friends of Joe will be hosting a fund-raising event at Knuckleheads on Sunday from 1 to 9. Come out for an afternoon of music, dancing, and games. Don't forget to make a dontaion at the door.

Get around in class this weekend! Shore Ride Limousine is offering great deals on their dope 14-passenger rides right now. Call Berns at (757) 428-7433 and tell him we sent you.

As always, party responsibly and tip well!
