The mélange of the uptempo high-energy rhythms of Gypsy with the catchy melodic hooks of Pop is delivering a thrilling auditory experience to listeners. It should then come as no surprise the way Occidental Gypsy decided togypsify Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as the one cover song on the band’s debut album Over Here.Over Here, released in February 2011, has been quickly garnering critical acclaim. In their recent CD review Motif Magazine wrote, “Listeners will surely be all in with Occidental Gypsy’s Over Here” and defined the band as “a terrific and unpretentious fab four”.
