Barefoot Beach Run

In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the City of Virginia Beach, VBnightlife.com/VBdaylife.com, the region’s go‐to resource for events, entertainment, and recreational opportunities, is coordinating a one mile “Fun Run”. The fun in the sand run on October 12th will launch the city’s birthday celebration. The registration fee entitles you to a commemorative T-shirt, swag bag, two beer tickets, plus entrance to the exclusive anniversary celebration after the run. Come, kick off your shoes, and celebrate!!!

The theme of the run is “Celebrate Virginia Beach” and participants are encouraged to dress up as a surfer, beach bum, tourist, or wear a festive beach hat. Prizes will be given for “craziest hat,” “tackiest tourist,” and best “beach bum”. No worries if costumes are not your thing, your normal beach attire suits us just fine.

Anyway you run, please stay and continue the fun in the sun with a fabulous after‐party at Neptune Park on 31st Street. Runners, spectators, and party goers will all meet to celebrate Virginia Beach’s Birthday!

Barefoot Beach Run will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Surfrider Foundation (Virginia Beach Chapter), the CHKD, Vanguard Landing, Virginia MOCA, Virginia Beach CASA and other local charities.
