One of VBNightlife's favorite bands, Broke by Sunday, is playing tonight at Big Woody's in Norfolk. Go out and dance, and try to keep the "big woody" jokes to a minimum.
Friday night, wanna go see Dave Chappelle?!?! Sorry, that was a tease. He's not performing. Buuuut you can go see Harland Williams, who was one of the other guys in "Half Baked." Trust us: He's awesome, too. http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/all-events-click-here-30
Saturday, Tidewater Friends of Folk Music off Homeless Awareness Week at the Meyera Obendorf Regional Library. That's only the beginning of a week of awesome events for a good cause. Check it out: http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/jcoc-fundraiser-a-walk-in
Looking for an excuse to go out to eat, guilt-free? Another feature of Homeless Awareness Week has got you covered. Certain Virginia Beach restaurants will be giving 10% of their proceeds to the JCOC. Check out this list and eat up! http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/restaurant-week-to-support
AND you have the opportunity to win a new car! And that's totally cooler than "pimpin" yours. Click here to find out how to get raffle tickets for a 2005 Hyundai Tucson! Be sure you get your raffle ticket by next Friday. http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/win-a-car-raffle-to-benefit
You can keep the fundraiser train rolling for Sunday Funday with the Walk in Their Shoes Journey from the JCOC campus to the 24th Street Stage. There will be live music from Heather Vancleave and testimonials from JCOC residents. http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/jcoc-fundraiser-a-walk-in
And after that, we're gonna end the weekend (well, we never ACTUALLY end the weekend) at South Beach Grill for Dave and Kate! http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/dave-and-kate-south-beach
It's never to early to start getting ready for a party, and we've got a good one for you next week. Hampton Roads Magazine is celebrating its 10 year anniversary on Thursday with Cheap Thrills, Charles Darden Jazz Band, and (best of all) us! We're gonna be taking a limo down there, so hit Nicole up if you wanna roll with us. http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/hampton-roads-magazine-10-year
Also next week, Ruth's Chris is featuring one of Virginia's finest wineries - Lake Anna Winery - for their November Wine Dinner. This fabulous dinner will consist of five delicious courses prepared by Chef Rick Overbey each perfectly prepared with a wine from Lake Anna Winery. Special guests will include Jeff and Eric Heidig, owners of Lake Anna. Reserve your seat today by calling Ruth's Chris at 213 0747. http://www.vbnightlife.com/events/lake-anna-winery-dinner-at
