 ’ve got in mind. We’re talking about offering the chance to sample
  dishes from some of Hampton Roads’ best restaurants - all featured 
 in the January issue of Hampton Roads Magazine – Platinum Plates! St
 roll from restaurant to restaurant (all under one roof, of course) and
  find out why they are known as Hampton Roads’ best! You’ll also b
 e treated to the upbeat sounds of The Wham Bam Big Band – a 17-piece
  student-run Jazz ensemble based on the College of William and Mary. F
 rom Blues to Swing, Latin and even Funk, the Wham Bam Big Band is sure
  to get your toes tapping!\n\nBut wait…there’s more! Michael Stern
 , half of the Jane and Michael Stern Roadfood duo, will be our special
  guest this fabulous foodfest. The Sterns drive around America looking
  for good food and exploring popular culture. Their collaboration has 
 yielded over forty books, including the restaurant guide Roadfood, the
  cookbook Square Meals, the memoir Two for the Road and, most recently
 , 500 Things to Eat Before It's Too Late. In addition, they have writt
 en the pop-culture best-sellers Elvis World and The Encyclopedia of Ba
 d Taste, and Michael Stern's Douglas Sirk. The Sterns contribute weekl
 y to Public Radio's \"The Splendid Table,\" and host the interactive w
 ebsite, Roadfood.com.\n\nSo join us at the Norfolk Marriott Waterside
