 oin the \"wild rumpus\" as Maurice Sendak’s life and work are celebr
 ated in an exhibition that focuses on the personal viewpoint of the au
 thor/illustrator of such children’s classics as, “Where the Wild T
 hings Are” and “In the Night Kitchen.”\n\nHands-on interaction i
 s encouraged for Museum visitors of all ages as they act out the narra
 tives of Sendak’s well-known children’s classics. Younger visitors
  can don a costume and become a “wild thing,” slide down into a bo
 wl of chicken soup, or enjoy a book while sitting on Rosie’s stoop. 
 Literacy and creativity are the rule in this exciting exhibition.\n\nM
 aurice Sendak’s rich personal history, which served as a source for 
 creative inspiration, is available for exploration through his handwri
 tten notes, manuscripts, and illustrations as well as through a video 
 interview that allows Sendak to be heard as well as seen.\n\nOrganized
  by the Breman Museum, Atlanta, GA. Many of the images in this exhibit
 oin are facsimiles taken from the original art in the Maurice Sendak A
 rchive housed at the Rosenbach Museum and Library, Philadelphia, PA.\n
