 each Public Works, in collaboration with Parks and Recreation, are enl
 isting the help of volunteers for Keep America Beautiful’s Great Ame
 rican Cleanup (GAC). \nVolunteers are needed Saturday, May 17, from 8
 :30 a.m. to noon. The cleanup will be focusing on the Cape Henry Trail
  (adjacent to Shore Drive) and London Bridge Road at Virginia Beach Bo
 ulevard. \nVolunteers may also choose to participate in the Storm Dra
 in Marker Challenge, by placing markers on storm drains in the Rudee I
 nlet and Atlantic Ocean watersheds. Help us improve public awareness o
 f the environmental effects of dumping in storm drains and the resulti
 ng water quality issues.\nIn addition, residents are also encouraged t
 o select an area in their neighborhood, and join the efforts by organi
 zing a cleanup of their own. The city plans to use photos and stories
  of the neighborhood cleanups in social media and other formats to sho
 w the commitment that communities have to Keeping Virginia Beach Beaut
