DESCRIPTION:The Virginia Beach Police Department’s Second Precinct, 
 in partnership with the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission and the
  Second Precinct Citizen’s Advisory Committee, is inviting the commu
 nity to an open house.\n \nThe Open House will be on Saturday, Octobe
 r 22, 2011, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 820 Virginia Beach Boulevard at the S
 econd Precinct.\n \nCaptain Patrick Gallagher, Commanding Officer of 
 the Second Precinct, states “It is my hope that members of the commu
 nity will view the Virginia Beach Police Department and officers from 
 the Second Precinct as their friend and partners in making our entire 
 community a safer place to live, work and visit.”\n \nThe public is
  welcome to take a tour of the building and meet with the officers. Th
 ere will be several activities and events for all ages to include emer
 gency vehicle tours, kid’s identification kits, door prizes and give
 aways (Xbox, Wii, Kindle, Nook and other prizes will be given away).\n
  \nThe Fire Department and EMS will also participate and their facili
 ties will also be open to public tours.  EMS will conduct extracting 
 demonstrations with the “Jaws of Life”.  Two crashed vehicles wil
 l be used for this demonstration.  Numerous other City Departments an
 d Private Organizations will participate in the Open House.\n \nThis
