 Tchaikovsky Finale

A romantic night of rare music is in store for you this weekend at the Virginia Symphony Orchestra Season Finale!

“Everybody knows the first,” declares VSO conductor JoAnn Falletta, “but Tchaikovsky’s Second Piano Concerto is wonderful in a completely different way. It’s beautiful music, but it also features two very large and very romantic solos for our concertmaster, Vahn Armstrong, and our principal cellist, Michael Daniels. So you’ll get to hear two of our players shine right in the middle of this piano concerto with William Wolfram, one of my favorite pianists and a great player.”

Friday, April 13, 2012 | 8:00 PM | Ferguson Center for the Arts
Saturday, April 14, 2012 | 8:00 PM | Chrysler Hall
Sunday, April 15, 2012 | 2:30 PM | Sandler Center for the Performing Arts
