DESCRIPTION:There is so much to the world of the Celts, it is virtuall
 y impossible to celebrate it all in one short afternoon. Still, the Fo
 untain Plaza at the Town Center of Virginia Beach will burst with thin
 gs Celtic on Saturday afternoon, March 12th as they “Shamrock the Bl
 ock”. In the ongoing program of free, family-fun programs, Town Cent
 er will go green in the best traditions of Saint Patrick with music, d
 ance and fun. Throughout the afternoon there will be face painting, ba
 lloon animals, caricatures, puppet shows, fortune telling and even a v
 ersion of Blarney Castle. Grace O’Malley – The Sea Queen of Connau
 ght (you’ll know her as children’s music favorite Cindy Kays) will
  be on stage and there will be fiery exclamation points as An Cor Rud 
 – The Reel Thing School of Irish Dance and The Scottish Dance Theate
 r of Virginia bring color and flash to the stage. Highlighting stage p
 erformance will be two appearances by the ensemble Celtica, celebratin
 g their inaugural CD release. All events are free and open to the publ
 ic, as part of the community entertainment program offered by the Town
