Make your own rain barrel and help reduce stormwater run off. Excess nutrient run off is our most challenging water quality problem. High levels of nitrogen and phosphorus are directly related to four of our most important water quality standards: water clarity, dissolved oxygen levels, underwater grasses and bacteria levels. A rain barrel is one way to reduce the amount of run off entering the river from your property. Rain barrels also provide homeowners with free non-chlorinated water to provide healthy irrigation to house plants and gardens.
You will leave this workshop with a completed rain barrel and simple installation instructions.
Cost is $65
