OPENING RECEPTION OF WINTER / SPRING EXHIBITIONS AT MOCA

Celebrate the opening of MOCA’s new exhibitions including Ryan McGinness: Studio Visit and New Waves 2015. Born and raised in Virginia Beach and now based in New York, McGinness is internationally known for his exuberant marriage of abstraction and representation. His early interest in design, illustration, and popular culture led to a flat, clean edged style of bold logo like images. 

New Waves 2015 celebrates the rich and vast array of talent from across the state of Virginia. Awards will be presented to artists selected by the juror at the opening reception, including Best in Show and the new People’s Choice award.
