At TAPPED Gastropub, our foods and beverages tell the story of our community. Each ingredient made a journey before it reached your table. It is this journey, filled with dedication and passion, that allow us to share our stories with each other as they should be shared: over a good meal with a good drink. For this reason, we are committed to supporting local fishers, farmers and brewers, as well as upholding a farm-to-table standard with our food. Meet Our Chef

From an early age Chef Rurak loved and appreciated all things gastronomical. After graduating from The Culinary Institute in Palm Beach, Florida, Chef Rurak worked in some of the East Coast’s top restaurants, refining his craft and learning from some of the best chefs in the region. It was during this time that Chef Rurak’s passion for local seafood developed as well, and it was only natural that when Chef Rurak moved to Virginia Beach, he was inspired by all of the delicious local fare Virginia Beach has to offer.
