 rrow/\n\nAcclaimed Actress & Humanitarian Activist\nArtistic and criti
cal success, as well as money and fame, came to Mia Farrow at an early
age. Following her young life in 1940s Hollywood as the daughter of H
ollywood royalty, she gained national attention through her role in th
e television classic Peyton Place. Farrow went on to star in over for
ty movies, including such classics as Rosemary’s Baby, The Great G
atsby and Hannah and Her Sisters. As successful as her professional
life was, her personal life was marked with many struggles, leading he
 r to begin a journey toward a significant life.\nFarrow’s earliest m
emories come from the walled gardens and rocky shores of western Irela
nd, a time and place where she experienced multiple hardships as a you
ng girl. The onset of polio at age nine and the deaths of two family m
embers several years later profoundly affected her as a child and shat
tered any sense of family security. Making steps to put these misfortu
nes behind her, Farrow began her journey to the heights of Hollywood.\
nAs the mother of fourteen children (ten of whom are adopted) Farrow h
as devoted her life to humanitarian efforts and the care of a truly re
markable family. Farrow has been a high profile advocate for children
s rights, working to raise funds and awareness for children in confl
ict affected regions, predominantly Africa. She is a UNICEF Goodwill A
mbassador and has worked extensively to draw attention to the fight to
eradicate polio.\nHer latest humanitarian effort raises awareness of
the genocide occurring in Darfur, Chad and Central African Republic. A
t the podium, Farrow shares photographs from her trips to Darfur in 20
04, 2006-2008, bearing witness to the desperation of the people of the
region. Connecting to the humanity in all of us, she reminds us of ou
r moral responsibility to assure that “never again” are not just w
ords. In an absolutely unforgettable and challenging program, Farrow a
ddresses what compels her to continue this work despite grave personal
risk and shares how every individual can help.\nFarrow reflects on he
r ever-evolving life journey in her sincere and candid best seller, W
hat Falls Away. In what Newsweek calls “a simply elegant memoir,”
she presents a revealing account of her personal struggles and success
es, and the quest to find deeper meaning in her life. Expanding on thi
s memoir, Farrow graces the lecture stage with her eloquence and hones
ty in a unique presentation that is sure to inspire any audience.\n\n\
