LOCALS ONLY REUNION SHOW @ THE JEWISH MOTHER

In the summer of 1983 in suburban Virginia Beach, VA, four young men embarked on a sonic journey with a shared vision of creativity, fueled by youthful energy and a common passion for the emotional power of music. At the time, the players consisted of Mike Overcash (21), Gray Randolph (19), Jeff Cicatko (18) and Patrick Myers (18). The group called itself Locals Only and spent much of that summer creating a repertoire of covers and originals in a detached backyard workshop of the Overcash family home. Right away the band began testing its song wares on small groups of friends at impromptu gatherings, events that soon created a buzz throughout the town.

Cicatko's unique vocal qualities and dynamic stage performances were infectious, while Overcash (guitar) and Myers (bass) both had an aggressive attack, dynamic playing style, and musical connection that played well over the upbeat and energetic bounce of Randolph's drumming. Together these four youths quickly earned respect and admiration at local venues. 

The band still has the occasional opportunity to pack the house for its loyal fans when Cicatko comes back to his hometown of Virginia Beach for visits. These rare reunion concerts are commonly known to be unabashed bouts of revelry and nostalgia where the glory days are relived by fans and band alike.
