DESCRIPTION:\n\nHope House Foundation Announces the 29th Annual Stock
 ley Gardens Spring Arts Festival presented by TowneBank\n \nNORFOLK, 
 VA—(May 2013) The 29th Annual Stockley Gardens Spring Arts Festiv
 al will take place, as always, in Stockley Gardens Park in the Ghent 
 neighborhood of Norfolk (at the corner of Stockley Gardens and Olney R
 d.) and is free and open to the public. Over 140 artists will particip
 ate, featuring pieces in various media including painting, glass, scul
 pture, photography, and jewelry. There will also be an Emerging Artist
  Exhibit, musical performances all weekend long, children’s activiti
 es, and a variety of food vendors serving everything from popcorn to r
 ibs to pitas to funnel cake and more. The festival will run from10:00 
 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, and from noon to 5:00 PM on Sunday,
  May 19. The artist award ceremony and after-hours party will take pla
 ce Saturday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The award ceremony and pa
 rty are also free and open to the public. All proceeds from the festi
 val will benefit Hope House Foundation.\n \nThis event is proudly spo
 nsored TowneBank.\n \nMusical performers will Dave Berry with Laura 
 Watkins, Who We Are Not, The School of Rock, The Wet Boys, Seth Stainb
 eck and Roosterfoot, Ned Andrew Solomon, Karl Werne, and Rellen.\n \n
 The festival judge will be David Brown, museum administrator and inde
 pendent curator currently residing in Winston Salem, North Carolina. I
 n the past, Mr. Brown worked as Deputy Director of Art at the Taubman 
 Museum of Art in Roanoke, Chief Curator and theHOME House Project di
 rector at the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Curator at the
  Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, and the Director of the Exhib
 itions Department at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, Baltimore
 . He served on the Board of Directors at the Washington Project for th
 e Arts in Washington, DC and is a founding member of Botswana, an alt
 ernative space for emerging artists that became the District of Columb
 ia Arts Center. Mr. Brown has curated, organized, and toured more than
  one hundred and fifty exhibitions and community-based projects. Besid
 es producing numerous exhibition catalogs and writing for a variety of
