THE BIG DANCE TO FIGHT CANCER

My name is Lacey O’Neal and I am a senior at the Global Studies & World Languages Academy at Tallwood High School where a senior project is a graduation requirement. For my project I am organizing a fundraiser for Lee's Friends. The event is called “The Big Dance to Fight Cancer” and features a social dance, dance showcase and silent auction. It is Thursday March 29,2012 at the MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Virginia Beach from 6-9:00pm. Here is what is happening that night: 

The Big Dance to Fight Cancer is an exciting fundraising event with music, dancing, art and craft and much more! The evening is your to enjoy while syupporting a worthy cause helping cancer patients and their families.

• The night includes:
• The sensational dance band “Savannah” performs
• A dance showcase features the regions top professional and Nationally ranked Swing, Ballroom, Latin, Ballet and Contemporary dancers
• The release of a special 20-month calendar with professional photographs of cancer survivors
  
• A “Survivors” dance featuring local cancer teens and adult survivors will be the highlight of the evening!
• A silent auction of art and craft, gifts and services generously donated locally and statewide by caring businesses and professionals.
• A cash bar.
  

This year's event benefits Lee's Friends, a non-profit organization with the mission of offering person to person help and needed emotional and practical support to cancer patients and their families who are facing the crisis of diagnosis and treatment of cancer. ADVANCED TICKETS ARE ONLY $20.  Tickets will be available at the door the night of the event ($25) but we encourage advance purchasing.
