 tis announces the inaugural modeling auditions of the George Kartis Mo
 del Search for men and women between the ages of 14 and 30 years, incl
 usive.\n\nIndividuals interested in a potential career as a model are 
 invited to participate in the Model Search competition, which will be 
 hosted at The Yacht Club at Marina Shores in Virginia Beach on January
  16, 2010.\n\nRegistration for this event is $20.00. Participants will
  experience the process by which individuals are considered for the mo
 deling profession. They will be photographed and evaluated by industry
  professionals. Their experience may include styling and make-up and m
 odeling and social skills pointers.\n\nAccording to Kartis, the George
  Kartis Model Search FACEBOOK page \"has generated significant interes
 t for this event. So much so, that we expect participants to number in
  the hundreds.\"\n\nTo accommodate all interested persons, four separa
 te audition events are planned. In addition to January 16th, a second 
 event is scheduled for January 31st. The dates, times, and venues of t
 he third and fourth events will be announced at a later date. All regi
 strants receive an Invitation Pass to the MODELMAKER PARTY, the culmin
 ating event of the George Kartis Model Search, when first-, second-, a
 nd third-place winners will be announced.\n\nThe female and male final
 ists among all the participants will received a prize package that inc
 ludes an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City for introductions to 
 top modeling agencies, photo shoots with portfolio, acting lessons, an
 d so much more! Second- and third-place winners will receive a photo s
 hoot, acting lessons, gift certificates from local merchants, and oppo
 rtunities for local or regional work.\n\nKartis, who was raised in Vir
 ginia Beach, worked extensively throughout Europe for more than 10 yea
 rs scouting and photographing models for print ads, editorial, cover, 
 and catwalk. He has collaborated with prestigious fashion houses in Pa
 ris and Milan and shot national campaigns for major advertisers. He co
 ntinues to work with internationally based modeling agencies connectin
 g them with aspiring new talent.\n\nKartis has already \"found\" sever
 al models from this area; he expects to \"discover\" others. \"This is
