DESCRIPTION:The VIBE Creative District (VIBE) will postpone the annive
 rsary block party scheduled on and around 18th Street for Friday, Apri
 l 1st, due to inclement weather forecastings, which include the poten
 tial for storms. \n\nThe inaugural community-driven outdoor event ce
 lebrates the first year of VIBE, and the second year of First Fridays 
 in the district, and has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 7th from 
 noon-4pm. \n \nFirst Friday VIBE indoor events will proceed as sched
 uled, including; Amy Gwynn's EP Release Party at MOCA http://vbnightl
 ife.com/events/april-fools-for-art-first-fridays-in-the-vibe-district,
  MOCA's Satellite Gallery at Town Pavillion II opening reception of 
 Richmond artist Matt Lively: Habitat; second anniversary of First Fri
 day VIBE HOLD'EM POKER RUN (visit 12 participating VIBE businesses f
 or prizes); OnieTonie™ Solo Exhibition at Studio 17, \"Drink, Dra
 w, Eat\" at COMMUNE as well as other events at Bluebird's Garage 
 and Studio, Roost Flowers and VB Surf Sessions.\n \nHampton Roads P
 ride (HRP) will host a community mural VIBE project at Croc'stomorro
 w night at 8pm with a HRP fundraiser to follow.\n \nThe outdoor famil
 y-friendly block party will take place Saturday, May 7th between Cyp
 ress and Mediterranean along 18th Street with art-making, live music,
  performances, food trucks and a beer tent featuring Back Bay Brewing
 ; Big Ugly Brewing Company; Bold Mariner Brewing Company; Smartmouth B
 eer and Wasserhund Brewing Company with proceeds going to support fu
 ture events and public art in the VIBE district.\n Art projects includ
 e community participation in painting two Creative Crosswalks from de
 signs by local artists, Richard Nickel (Norfolk) and Steven Schmucke
 r (Virginia Beach) as well as transforming trees in 18th Street Parkle
 t into colorful \"yarn-bombed\" crocheted works of art with the help o
 f  Virginia Beach's The Yarn Club, and Virginia Beach Middle Schoo
 l, members of Hampton Roads Pride and local individual artists will 
 unveil five new murals on the 18th Street Parklet fence.\n Live entert
 ainment includes local band PrettyUgly with special acts by student 
 from theSchool of Rock in Virginia Beach, street performances by CR
 EWical, silk aerialists and a pop-up Yoga party hosted by Flo Pilates
 . \nFunding for this event is generously provided by grants from the 
 City of Virginia Beach Office of Cultural Affairs and the Business Con
