Alliance Française Chapitre de Grasse invites the public to pack a picnic lunch and a beach umbrella and celebrate the Summer Solstice with an afternoon of music at the first annual Fête de la Musique at East Beach in Norfolk on June 21 from 1 to 7 pm.
The festival is free and open to the general public. It features 16 performers and bands on two stages at East Beach, located at 4550 East Beach Drive (formerly East Ocean View Ave.). The Fête also features roving musicians, storytelling and a pétanque tournament for those who can’t resist an opportunity to try this classical French game. Food vendors, including the Williamsburg Winery, will provide refreshments. Parking is also free.
