SUMMARY:EQUI-KIDS YARD AND TACK SALE FUNDRAISER
DESCRIPTION:Equi-Kids Therapeutic Riding Program will host its annual 
 yard and tack sale from 8am to 1pm Saturday at its facility at 2626 He
 ritage Park Drive.  Items to be sold include saddles, bridles, saddle
  pads, boots, apparel, horse blankets, household good and items still 
 to be determined from the public. Table rentals are $10 each.  Procee
 ds raised from the sale of thtables benefits the nonprofit Equi-Kids.

 d, EQUI-KIDS Therapeutic Riding Program has grown to become one of the
  largest accredited equine riding programs in the country benefiting t
 he special needs community. Our team of hard-working horses provide eq
 uine-assisted activities to a diverse group of riders each week and ou
 r programs offer support to individuals with disabilities such as Down
  syndrome, autism, spina bifida, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain i
 njury, cerebral palsy, amputation, mental and physical disabilities, a
 ttention deficit disorder and more.\nTherapeutic riding helps to devel
 op self-awareness and self-confidence, improvement in concentration an
 d fine motor skills, and physical benefits including muscle strengthen
 ing and stretching. Our horses provide the challenged rider with a fee
 ling of freedom and independence that may be limited in their everyday
  life.\nOur therapeutic riding program enables our students to experie
 nce a world without disabilities.\n\nEQUI-KIDS is a Premier Accredited
  Center through NARHA and a member of the Therapeutic Riding Associati
 on of Virginia. EQUI-KIDS’ therapeutic riding instructors are NARHA 
 Certified and continue their education every year to ensure the highes
 t level of professionalism in the industry. Currently, the program has
  over 200 volunteers who support our mission outreach by sharing their
  passion to make a positive, impactful difference in the lives of othe
 rs every day.\n \nIn addition to our seasonal lesson program, we offe
 r a School Partnership Program to work with special needs students at 
 local elementary and middle schools, as well as an EQUI-VETS Wings for
  Warrior program to offer equine-assisted activities to wounded servic
