"When Bob Marley made the decision that he wanted reggae music to be heard around the world," Anderson explains," he was on a quest to play all over the place and continually keep recording good songs. And so he chose specific musicians to do these chores and I just happen to be one of them."

"These are the people that spent a good decade with Bob, during his musical career and his personal life," Anderson says. "He had his musicians around him at all times. Even when we weren't recording, even when weren't touring. We were just living with him."

Anderson's work is immortalized in the recording of Marley's song "No Woman No Cry," in which he performs a guitar solo that is now part of the collective memory of Marley's millions of fans.

Anderson created a group along with former Wailers members (some of whom who are no longer with the group) which is true to the essence of the music he played with Marley. He is joined by a group of eclectic musicians, mostly from the Caribbean. Among them is singer-songwriter, Desi Hyson, who composed many of the songs on "Miracle," an album that combines reggae and African rhythms.

Just as he did when he played with Bob Marley, Anderson assumes a very unassuming position on the stage. He seldom calls attention to himself and often seems absorbed by the music.

"It's all about the music," he says. "It's not about me. You got some musicians who want to put their personalities forward, which I think it's an incorrect thing to do when you're in somebody's else's time.
