About The Cory Daniel Band
The Cory Daniel Band, from Churchland, VA, jam an eclectic blend of music into every show. These styles include original music, Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Latin Rock, Classic Country, Modern Country, R&B, Reggae and more. The band's front man, Cory Daniel, is a blind, 18-year old singer and multi-instrumentalist. Cory's father, Dan Spivey, plays rhythm guitar for the band. Kirk Headley plays bass guitar, keyboards, and saxophone. Eric Talley is the drummer and percussionist, and Tim Quick adds lead guitar. All five members bring vocals, with Cory singing the majority of the leads. The CDB doesn't rely on digital effects processors, looping and sampling, they prefer the simple plug and play method. Vintage amps and guitars help The CDB deliver a searing, energy filled show. The Cory Daniel Band has headlined at The Norva, and Cory has played with Elliot Easton (The Cars), Dave Ellefson (Megadeath), Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon), Mark Hudson (Ringo Starr/Ozzy Osbourne), Chris Slade (AC/DC), Gilbey Clark (Guns 'n' Roses) and Kip Winger (Winger) at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN.
