 Commotion in the Ocean annual fund raising event, guests can dance the
  night away to the sounds of the band Carbon Jam, shop the silent auct
 ion mall of travel packages and exquisite merchandise, participate in 
 an exciting short live auction, partake of abundant food and beverages
 , and enjoy the Aquarium exhibits in a festive atmosphere.\n \nThe ev
 ent is organized by the Aquarium Connection, a group of Hampton Roads'
  young professionals who raise money for the Virginia Aquarium Foundat
 ion. The proceeds from this year's Commotion in the Ocean will be used
  to purchase new outreach vehicles. The Virginia Aquarium Foundation o
 ffers many offsite programs to schools throughout the area. Due to dec
 reased school funding for field trips outreach programming has become 
 more important than ever. It gives students hands on learning opportun
 ities that are directly tied in with the Virginia Standards of Learnin
 g curriculum. The current fleet of outreach vehicles is aging out of i
 ts useful life, and without replacements we cannot continue to offer t
 hese kinds of programs. These vehicles allow us to continue to offer r
 ich experiences focusing on the marine environment.\n \nCommotion in 
 the Ocean tickets cost $100 per person, and includes admission, food,
