Cirquesa Dreamquest is a new theatrical big top circus experience at the Virginia Beach oceanfront.  This two-hour show will run through August 31st.

The word “cirquesa” is a combination of the Latin word “circus” and the Spanish word for princess, “princesa.” Although the show takes place under traditional circus tents, it breaks the traditional boundaries of a three-ringed circus by creating a theatrical circus experience with an amazing storyline that is sure to be an unforgettable and unique experience for people of all ages. The production features a wide variety of innovative displays of acrobatics, trapeze artistry, aerial ballet and daredevil thrills.

The show, which originally debuted in Venice, Fla. in 2009, tells an inspirational story of love, hope and understanding as a young boy, Michael, embarks on his circus fantasy journey of self-discovery. Beginning in the dream world, he reconnects with his deceased mother who returns only to fulfill her promise to take him to the circus. As the story unfolds, Michael earns pieces of a magical puzzle from various circus characters who teach him valuable life lessons of balance, strength and courage.
