DESCRIPTION:At Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion, participants draw four by f
 our foot chalk drawings right on the boardwalk! Chalk the Walk partici
 pants are asked to incorporate the announced theme in their work. Two 
 Tone Cadillac will be ROCKING the BLOCK from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM. FREE an
 d open to the public!\n\nThe theme for this year’s Chalk the Walk AR
 Tsplosion is ROCK YOUR BLOCK! At this celebration of music, all partic
 ipating artists are invited to depict in chalk their favorite bands, a
 lbum covers, musical scenes from movies or TV shows, or any other scen
 es that celebrate the joy of music! On the Boardwalk between 16th and 
 18th Streets, July 24, 2010, 10:00 am-5:00 pm.\n\nAll drawings will be
  done within 4x4 foot blocks that will be available on the boardwalk.\
 n\nAll art must be family-friendly and appropriate for viewing by all 
 audiences.\n\n200 competitors complete chalk drawings to be evaluated 
 by a panel of judges. Judges score the drawings according to criteria 
 such as composition, use of color, adherence to theme, and creativity.
  There are three competitive divisions: Amateur, Professional, and You
 th. The Youth division is for ages 12-16.\n\nChildren 11 and under are
  invited to draw for fun in a separate area.\n\nTrophies and cash priz
 es are awarded for each division.\n\nThe event runs from 10:00am-5:00p
 m.\n\nAll participants must register by 1:00pm to qualify for the comp
 etition.\n\nAll drawings must be completed by 3:30pm to be eligible fo
 r judging.\n\nAdvance registration for Chalk the Walk is not required.
  There is no fee to participate.\n\nArtists are encouraged to bring th
 eir own chalk.\n\nThe 17th Street Art Festival is held simultaneously 
 in the 17th Street Park. This unique art show is dedicated to local an
 d regional artists. Approximately 30 artists representing various medi
 a such as painting, jewelry, sculpture, and photography set up booths 
 in the park to display and sell their work. Live entertainment helps c
 reate a relaxed, inviting atmosphere for all. 17th Street Park, 10:00
