 nia favorites to create a weekend of fine art and fine artisan wine th
 at will appeal to art lovers and wine connoisseurs alike. CAC is pleas
 ed to announce the addition of The Virginia Wine Showcase, hosted by t
 he Farm Wineries Council, to its 54th annual Boardwalk Art Show & Fest
 ival, June 18-21, 2009.\n\nThe Boardwalk Art Show is one of the oldest
  and best outdoor fine art shows on the Eastern Seaboard. This event i
 s ranked as one of the top fine art shows in the country by Sunshine A
 rtist Magazine. This four-day festival features fine art, great shoppi
 ng, and live entertainment for the entire family, occupying 17th Stree
 t to 32nd Street along the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.\n\nThe Virginia W
 ine Showcase, featuring a selection of the best artisan wines produced
  in Virginia, will take up residence at the 24th Street Park as part o
 f the 2009 Boardwalk Art Show. Visitors may spend the day enjoying bot
 h events or make a weekend of it and return for several days.\n\nThe w
 ineries of Virginia are mostly small family-owned farms. Beyond the do
 ors of these boutique vineyards, winemakers are patiently, passionatel
 y handcrafting extraordinary artisan wine.\nSmall producers can handcr
 aft wine in ways that just wouldn't be possible in large industrial op
 erations. The ability to personally cultivate the wine from first bud 
 through fermentation makes a difference you can taste with the first s
 ip.\n\nWines produced by the wineries of Virginia are hard to find in 
 your local grocery store. The State’s boutique wineries simply donâ€
 ™t produce enough inventory to make it into major distribution channel
 s. To find these rare wines, you typically have to go to each wineryâ€
 ™s tasting room out on the farm.\nApproximately 100 wines will be feat
 ured at the 2009 CAC Boardwalk Art Show & Festival. Participating wine
 ries include Amrhein Vineyards, Bright Meadows Vineyards, Chateau Morr
 isette Winery, Cooper Vineyards, Davis Valley Winery, Holly Grove Vine
 yards, Lovingston Vineyards, Piedmont Vineyards and Tarara Winery.\n\n
