 plementing a modern, progressive surfing program for all members + abi
 lity levels. The ASF seeks to instill discipline, environmental awaren
 ess, positive values of fair play, + good sportsmanship in all its mem
 bers, while encouraging + guiding their development in the area of com

 \nQualification for competition divisions is determined by your age as
  of Jan. 1 of the current competition season (i.e. 2013/2014 age deter
 mined as of January 1, 12:01 AM, 2014). PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED. The 
 following competition divisions will earn points in the Atlantic Surfi
 ng Federation Surfing America USA Championships Divisions – Top surf
 ers in these divisions will be invited to represent the ASF in the Sur
 fing America USA Championships. Top positions will be determined by to
 taling the best 5 regular season event scores (global points) and ASF 
 Championship. Slot allotments per division are determined by Surfing A
 merica. Surfing America Prime qualifying divisions – Top surfers in 
 these divisions will be invited to surf the Surfing America Prime seri
 es to qualify for the Surfing America USA Championships and USA Surf T
 eam. Top positions will be determined by totaling the best 5 regular s
 eason event scores (global points). Top surfers in these divisions of 
 ASF will receive periodic invitations to fill open slots as alternates
  in Surfing America Prime based on their ASF ratings at the time the s
 lots become available. Slot allotments per division into Surfing Ameri
 ca Prime will be determined by Surfing America and posted on the ASF w
 ebsite as soon as they are received. Surfers in these divisions will n
 ot earn slots into the Surfing America USA Championships. All slots fo
 r these divisions into the USA Championships are through Surfing Ameri
