The 18th Annual Verizon Wireless American Music Festival will feature three great American headline bands on the 5th Street Main Stage, on one of America’s great beaches. The Festival will be held between Sept. 2-4.

ABOUT THE BANDS:
Stone Temple Pilots will be the featured band beginning at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 2. With more than 40 million records sold, STP has remained one of the world’s most popular bands for 20 years. They have had eight No. 1 hits and 16 Top 10 records. VH1 ranks the band at 40th on its list of All-Time Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. STP also won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 1994, the same year they won Best New Artists in the American Music Awards. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 day of show.
ZZ Top, That Little Ol’ Band From Texas, headlines in a matinee performance beginning at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3. The trio has sold more than 50 million records, including six No. 1 hits and another eight in the Top 40. ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. Known as one of the world’s foremost live acts, ZZ Top has toured every year since 1975 perfecting its brand of Southern-based blues rock. VH1 ranks the band as 44th on its list of All-Time Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. The opening band is River City Gang. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 day of show.
Bret Michaels headlines the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half-Marathon concert beginning at 6:45 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 4. Michaels has sold more than 35 million records as a solo artist and as lead singer of Poison, with hit songs in many genres including glam-metal, hard-rock, country-rock and country. He has sung on 40 hits. Michaels also has enjoyed success as a TV actor. He won the 9th season of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice in 2010. The opening band is Tonic. Tickets are $15 advance, $20 day of show.
For the second year, 300 VIP Experience tickets will be available to the general public for Friday and Saturday Main Stage concerts. Sunday’s concert is not included in the offer. Holders enjoy concerts from an exclusive area in front of the stage for viewing Friday and Saturday concerts. They also enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, VIP-only port-a-johns, two free beers or wine, and one ticket to both Friday and Saturday concerts. Priced at $95 each, this is the ultimate way for fans to enjoy Friday and Saturday concerts. VIP Experience tickets are available only through Ticketmaster.
