Ace It For Alzheimer's - The Longest Day Tennis Match

           On June 20th from sunrise to sunset (5:45 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.) on the longest day of the year, local Alzheimer’s Association supporters will be playing tennis as part of the inaugural national event The Longest DayTM. It’s one day to honor the passion, dedication and strength displayed by people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers every day.

               Monarchs For Memory (a new ODU student organization) and Young Adults for Alzheimer’s Awareness (YAAA!) will be hosting an all-day tennis match called Ace It For Alzheimer’s at Old Dominion University’s Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association from 5:45 a.m. until 8:45 p.m.   

                 At least one person on the team must be “moving” throughout the entire day. Ace It For Alzheimer’s goal is to have enough players participate to have one doubles match every two hours. The event is open to players of all different skill levels and anyone 18 and up.
