DESCRIPTION:\nThe Duck Tape Regatta (DTR) is an unique fund-raiser for
  the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD). The 8th annua
 l will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at the Willoughby Harbor 
 - a VMG Marina on 1525 Bayville Street in Norfolk, Virginia. Members o
 f The King's Daughters' Union of Hands and Southern Vines Circles are 
 coordinating the event. It is a very successful event that has raised 
 more than $150,000 for CHKD!DTR participants are given four hours to c
 reate a \"boat\" out of a kit that contains a sheet of plywood, two 2x
 4s, a roll of duct tape, and a pound of screws. The boats are then man
 ned and launched into a race for seaworthiness and speed. The adrenali
 ne and cheering of the crowd rivals any major NASCAR, Derby or track r
 ace. It is pure excitement!Surprisingly enough, the most amazing thing
  about the Duck Tape Regatta is not the construction of these boats, b
 ut the fact that every cent collected through sign-up fees, food, ente
 rtainment, and generous donations is given to the Children's Hospital 
 of The King's Daughters to ensure the best health care for the childre
