Join Navy SEALs for the 15th annual Allen Stone Braveheart Memorial Races, to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation, Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad and Virgina Beach Lifesaving Service.
The public event honors the memory of Navy SEAL operator Allen Stone, who was killed during training exercises in 1999. The race features a 1K beach run, a short swim, and a 5K boardwalk run along the picturesque Virginia Beach.
In addition to the run-swim-run, the event will feature a kid’s race, award ceremony, raffle, pull-up contest, post-race party and an ex-Navy SEAL operator dropping into the event via a giant American flag parachute.
The event’s title sponsor is Delphinus Engineering, title sponsor is SAIC, with additional sponsorship support by Harbor Group, BLACKHAWK!, Earl Energy and Hall Auto. Family members of fallen SEALs will read the names of their loved ones at the event, which is expected to draw 700-1,000 participants.
Former Navy SEALs will be in attendance; Virginia Beach major Will Sessoms will kick off the event
