DESCRIPTION:The Steel Pier Classic and Surf Art Expo is the place to 
 be Memorial Day Weekend in Va. Beach! This is a professional and amat
 eur surfing contest on the beach at the 1st Street Jetty and the larg
 est longboard event on the East Coast. It is comprised of a variety o
 f events---nose riding, retro surfboarding, tandem, stand up paddlebo
 ard (SUP), and Pro/Am surfing divisions.  All of the events encompass
  the soul of surfing and the heart of the Virginia Beach surfing commu
 nity.  It allows different generations of surfers to come together, a
 nd allow the art of longboarding to prosper to a higher level.   \n\
