Event Description

Young Adults for Alzheimer’s Awareness (YAAA!) present the 2nd Annual YAAA! For a Cure Black Tie Bowling, a fun and unique event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter.

This event is a fun-filled black-tie/cocktail wear inspired bowling event. Participants dress formally from the waist up, and “anything goes” on the bottom. Beyond that, there are no rules. Attire can be as formal or as creative and zany as participants prefer. Imagine a tuxedo shirt with cufflinks and a bow-tie on top paired with Bermuda shorts on the bottom. Top hats, colorful wigs, glitzy tops, tiaras… all are enthusiastically encouraged!

Event will be emceed by Promo Joe from 97.3 the Eagle.

$40 Participation fee includes: 2 full games, shoe rental, an adult beverage ticket (MUST BE OVER 21), 2 slices of pizza, and a raffle ticket for a door prize. Raise $75 to receive a one-of-a-kind YAAA! For a Cure Bowling koozie.

Sign up your team of 6 to help STRIKE OUT Alzheimer's disease! "Spare" bowlers will be assigned a team if they sign up as an individual.

Awards will be given for Top 5 Fundraisers, Highest Scoring Team, Highest & Lowest Scoring Individuals, Best Team Name, and Best Black-Tie Inspired Outfit (Male/Female).

Online registration will close on Wednesday, April 11 at 5 p.m.
