Event Description

It’s back! Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and Wave Riding Vehicles (WRV) are pleased to present the 2011 SK8R Bash at Mount Trashmore Skate Park! After a one-year hiatus, Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and WRV have teamed up again to bring the best skateboard competition in the area!

The event will be held at our 24,000 square foot facility, Mount Trashmore Skate Park in Virginia Beach on Saturday, October 8, 2011. This is free and open to the public with onsite parking. Roll out for some nose-grinding action at this adrenaline-packed skateboard competition! Big airs, board grabs and other raw tricks will be on order as we host an amateur skateboard contest. Deadline for $25 registration is October 1 – but space is limited! Event day registration $30, if space is still available. Registration fees includes event T-shirt. Applications are available for download at VBgov.com/specialevents.

Enjoy live musical performances by local talent Subtle Skeptics and Coastland. Conquer the rock-climbing wall and check out the Invincible Me? XTreme Games, hosted by the Mayor’s Youth Leaders in Action for fun interactive games and free prizes for youth ages 14 & up!
