Pirate Party on the Beach

Ahoy Mateys!  Join in this unique and colorful family-friendly event that features musical entertainment, Weapons demonstrations, storytelling, arts & crafts with the Old Coast Guard Station, face painting, bandana making, merchandise vendors, a treasure hunt, and more!

Pirate re-enactors The Moody Crewe, along with the Devil's Deckhands and York Privateers, will be along to help transport you to a world of evertything "piratical!"

Historical groups and organizations will educate with exciting displays (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Nauticus, Vireginia Beach Historic Houses, Waterman's Museum, and others).

10:00am, Kick-off parade/costume contest
10:30am, Storytelling (children) and Extra Stout (music) on the Boardwalk
10:45am, Storytelling (teens & adults)
11:00am, The Brigands (pirate band)
11:45am, Strolling musician/town crier
12:00pm, “Blackbeard & Calico Jack” pirate show (featuring sword-fighting)
12:30pm, Storytelling (children) and Extra Stout (music) on the Boardwalk
12:45pm, Storytelling (teens & adults)
1:00pm, The Brigands (pirate band)
1:45pm, Strolling musician/town crier
2:00pm, “Blackbeard & Calico Jack” pirate show (featuring sword-fighting)
