ABOUT JASON ALDEAN:
After selling more than 3.5 million copies of his first three albums, topping the charts with ten smash hits including “The Truth,” “Big Green Tractor,” “She’s Country,” “Why” and “Hicktown,” racking up a dozen award nominations, selling out arena shows across the nation and smashing venue attendance records, country rocker Jason Aldean is back with MY KINDA PARTY, that was released Nov. 2, 2010.
The multi-Platinum country star’s new disc finds Aldean building on his signature sound while continuing to push the boundaries of country music with his own unique style. The muscular title track has fit very quickly into the jacked-up portion of both his concert set list and radio playlists across the country. But there’s other stylistic landscape to explore too, including his first full-fledged duet with big-voiced pop singer Kelly Clarkson for “Don’t You Wanna Stay” and the groove of “Dirt Road Anthem” that suggests Aldean has listened to a little Snoop Dogg in his time. Aldean’s ultra-Southern vocal style gives him an immediately identifiable sound, and the band helps set him even further apart from other country stars.
ABOUT CHRIS YOUNG:
Chris Young is an American Country music artist. In 2006, he was declared the winner of the television program Nashville Star , a singing competition which aired on the USA Network. After winning, he was signed to RCA Records Nashville, releasing his self-titled debut album that year. It produced two chart singles on the Hot Country Songs charts in "Drinkin' Me Lonely" and "You're Gonna Love Me". A second album, The Man I Want To Be, was released September 1, 2009. It includes the singles "Voices", "Gettin' You Home", and "The Man I Want To Be"; all three have reached Number One on the country singles chart.
ABOUT THOMPSON SQUARE:
Thompson Square isn’t a real place, exactly. It’s the musical territory staked out by the husband-and-wife duo of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, an exciting and unpredictable area where country meets rock, rough meets smooth and one vagabond heart finds a harmonious common ground with another. It’s the sweet destination where two journeys end and another one begins. “It’s the place where we create our thing, a little fantasyland where we live,” Keifer says.
