Clay Camp at VBSA is four fun filled afternoons of clay hand building! The students will return to paint in late July after all the art work has been fired. In this camp we will learn clay techniques such as designing and constructing slab projects and building coil vessels. Students will also explore translating two-dimensional images into three-dimensional works of clay art.Come get your hands messy and your creative juices flowing in our summer clay camp!
Meredith McKee, Director of Art, will instruct the clay camp this summer. She earned her degree in art education from our local Virginia Wesleyan Collage and has run the art program at VBSA for the past 10 years! She has a passion for educating children through the arts and strives hard to create new, fun, exciting, and educational art projects for all of her students.
