Ballet Virginia International presents a ballet fit for a princess.

Guest artists from renowned companies will join Ballet Virginia International’s Performing Company members as well as over 100 local children in this time honored and favorite fairytale ballet. Be transported to a land of fairies, royal pageantry and a fated princess. Join the Lilac Fairy as she saves Princess Aurora and her kingdom from Carobosse’s evil and jealous spells. Watch as Prince Florimund awakes his Sleeping Beauty from her slumber. Love follows and a happily ever after brings the story to a beautiful end.

Original choreography and staging that dates back to the great Russian tradition of Petipa has been updated with contemporary audiences in mind. Acclaimed music by Tchaikovsky ties the timeless story and rich choreography together into a truly brilliant ballet. This beautiful ballet will be sure to delight audiences of all ages with its splendor and tradition.
