All Hallows Eve 2009 features all of your favorite activities of years past, with the addition of a few new ones as well! The first ever Costume Contest will be held this year, so be sure to wear your spookiest, most creative Halloween costume. Most activities are free of charge, with the exception of Spooky House Tours and Ghost Pictures.

Spooky Tours Featuring the Emerging Artist Ensemble
Inside the museum, entertainingly Spooky Tours featuring the Emerging Artist Ensemble from the Virginia Stage Company will be offered every 15 minutes from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children over five.**
**Spooky Tour tickets are sold for specific tour times and sell out fast. Tickets are available for pre-sale.

Ghost Pictures in the Museum
Become a ghost by having your time elapsed photo taken inside the museum!
Cost for this activity is $3 per photo.
Giant Pumpkins Carved by Sean Fitzpatrick
Sean Fitzpatrick, Boston master sculptor, has been featured on NBC's Today Show and will marvel all with several giant pumpkins creatively carved on site!
Mini Pumpkin Decorating
What is fall and Halloween without pumpkins? Each year, we have perfect little child size pumpkins for each young visitor to decorate and take home with them. No charge.
Various games and activities will be happening on the lawn throughout the day, including pumpkin bowling, spooky musical chairs, and a mummy wrap. No charge.
Art Projects at the Visual Arts School
Arts and crafts projects are great fun for children of all ages! Projects will include origami creations with instructor Rich Gray.
Balloon Creations by Ryan 'The Balloon Guy'
‘Balloon animals’ doesn’t quite cover it for this talent; balloon genius is more appropriate. Enigmatic balloon creatures of all sorts will be created by local’s favorite Ryan Lavallee, a.k.a. Ryan ‘The Balloon Guy’. No charge.
Face Painting by Pic-N-Paint
The very talented face painters from Pic-N-Paint will decorate little monsters faces throughout the day.
Puppet Shows by Fuzz and Stuffing Puppets
The Fuzz and Stuffing puppeteers are back this year to captivate audiences with two performances under the tent at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Hansel & Gretel's Grimm Tale
The Emerging Artist Ensemble of the Virginia Stage Company will put on a special performance of Hansel & Gretel's Grimm Tale on the back lawn at 4:00 p.m.
Introducing the first ever costume contest at All Hallows Eve. The contest will be judged by a special guest. Dress to impress!
Judging occurs at 5:00 p.m.
Ghost Stories with the Gypsy Moon Tellers
You won't want to miss the fantastical stories at dusk, narrated by April Uhrin of Gypsy Moon Tellers! Begins at 6:00 p.m.
Special Guest: Dr. Madblood
Our special guest and very good friend of the Hermitage, Dr. Madblood, will be filming at All Hallows Eve for his Halloween Special, Doctor Madblood's Haunted Halloween, to air on WHRO-TV15 and HD15.1 October 31st at 10:00 p.m.
