Known internationally as the “Gran Prix” of beach/sand soccer, the NASSC is the premier amateur & pro/am beach/sand soccer event worldwide. NASSC 2015 anticipates over 1,000 teams, including 10,000 youth/adult players from 20 different countries, plus 100,000 weekend visitors/spectators during the Oceanside festival that spans over 25 city blocks. Presented by McDonald’s of Southeastern VA and Northeastern NC, the sand-blasting 5 v. 5 competition offers over 70 age/skill brackets to support all levels of play. The centerpiece of NASSC is the Int'l pro/am men’s “U.S. OPEN," where sixteen highly skilled teams will be battling for the title of “U.S. National Champion." The festival offers many other sand sport competitions including a COED Flag Football Beach Bash, Beach All-Volley Tennis USA, Beach Wrestling, the North American SANDLAX Championships, Beach Field Hockey and Volley Futbol. The NASSC is a sports charity festival open to the public at no cost.
